Brendon Hartley will switch to a new, permanent Formula 1 car number for this weekend's Me🤪xican Grand Prix after using Toro Rosso's reserve number for his debut last weekend.

Porsche LMP1 driver Hartley was drafted in by Toro Rosso to make his F1 debut in the United States Grand Prix last weekend in p🅘lace of Pierre Gasly, who was ruled out due to a clash with the Super Formula finale at Suzuka.

Hartley enjoyed a solid first outing for Toro Rosso, finishi🐼ng 13th, and was swiftly confirmed to be returning for the final three races of the season in pla🔯ce of Daniil Kvyat, who will not return to the team.

Having raced with #39 in Austin, Toro Rosso's designated reserve🃏 number, Hartley will now switch to #28 from this weekend's race at the Autodromo Herm👍anos Rodriguez.

""I'm so excited to head to Mexico for my second Formula 𝕴1 Grand Prix. It was a steep learning curve in Austin last week, so I'm looking forward to putting some of the lessons learnt into practice this weekend here in Mexico," Hartley said.

"It's a tricky venue for the engineers, as th💯e high altitude plays havoc on downforce and cooling, but from a driving point of view it's a great track and one I really enjoy."

#28 was🤡 previously used by Will Stevens during his sole full season in F1 with Manor back in 2015.
