Randy Krummenacher’s early provisional top time secured his first pole position of the season as World Supersport qualifying at Assen was curtailed by a red flag for dropped o💖i🍒l before snow arrived.
The Swiss rider’s 1m 38.010s gave him a useful early advantage of half a second over Raffaele De Rosa, before Bardahl Evan Bܫros Yama☂ha team-mate Federico Caricasulo slashed the advantage to one-tenth of a second, but the times remained unchanged once a mid-session red flag arrived.
Lucas Mahias suffered an engine blow with his Puccetti Kawasaki which saw oil dropped on the final sector of the Assen track. De Rosa, Corentin Perolari and Mahias’s team-mate Hikari Okubo all crashed🍬 on the French rider’s oil before the red flag was confirmed by race direction.
After a lengthy delay for the track clean-up, snow started to fall at the bitterly cold Assen circuit meaning conditions weren’t favourable for anyꦰ lap time gains once the session restarted.
That handed Krummenacher pole ahead of team-mate Caricasulo with De Rosa comple🥀ting the front row. Hannes Soomer profited to front the second row ahead of Okubo and Jules Cluzel.
