WorldSBK: Redding: ‘I pushed so hard' to try and win in final Ducati appearance

Scott Redding has officially left Ducati for BMW following the WorldSBK season finale ten days ago, a final round in which winning was at t🤪he height of his priorities.
And although Redding failed to accomplish that goal i🔥n either of the two races, race two demonstrated just what he and the team will be without next season.
After a tough openin💮g few rounds, Redding was as good and consistent as any rider over th🐎e last few rounds, except for 2021 world champion Toprak Razgatlioglu.
From Assen onwards, Redding won five races - the same ♋number as Jonathan Rea, while also🐻 taking 16 podiums from 22 races - again joint second with Rea.
In his final race for Ducati, Redding prodcued a titanic 12 lap showdown with Rea which eventually resulted in the Kawasaki rider getting t💟he win, a victory that Redding despe🍌rately wanted to give to the Italian manufacturer.
Speaking after his final race for Ducati, Redding added: "I would have loved to have won. I pushed so ๊hard because I wanted to win one more time with them, that was my goal.
"In the end I tried and they saw the heart and the passion I had which is important. I showed it all of this year, all of last year and what I’m capable of and I will never giv🅺e💝 up. I gave that to them.
"The season was good. There were a couple of mistakes from my side and also from the team which kind𝄹 of cost me the champion🃏ship.
"You need a bit of luck to also win a title and I just didn’t really have that. It was not bad, but it cost me a lot in the beginning which meant I𒐪 was playing catch-up.
"But this is how it goes and in the end I’m just happy to take 💛top three in the championship. Also to fight again in the last two races was good. So I’m happy."
