Six-time W🌄orldSBK champion Jonathan Rea had opened up about his future with Kawasaki, while also discussing the lack of opportunity regarding a move to MotoGP.

Rea ♌clinched an astonishing 201st podium in WorldSBK at last weekend’s inaugural Autodrom Most round - a number that’s 71 clear of the next best.

On top of that, Rea could clinch his seventh world titl𝓡e this season - currently leads Toprak Razgatlioglu by three points - and therefore match Valentino Rossi’s tally of seven top class world championships.

But for all the accolades and records Rea holds, opportunities to compete with Rossi an🍎d others in MotoGP has ‘never’ opened; not for a lack of trying on Rea’s behalf.

Rea said: “About my future, I have no idea. All I do know🃏 is that I have an incredible opportunity with KRT for 2022 again but ahead of that, I don’t know.

“I still feel like I am in the best moment; abou🎶t new challenges such as MotoGP, 🅰I don’t know.

“I’m a little bit frustrated with this to be honest because if you look a♕t my CV, a six-time world champion, I’ve been knocking on the door of MotoGP teams but the door never opens.

“I’m not sure why but I am so happy here and I am happy with w𝕴hat I achieved.”

Rea’ chances of going to MotoGP are not completely closed if rumours are to be believed. The Northern Irishman has been linked with Petronas Yamaha for 2022, as not on♛e but two seats are likely to be vacant.

Rossi has already confirmed he will retire at the end of this season, while Franco Morbidelli 🐼is expected to move i꧑nto the factory Yamaha team alongside Fabio Quartararo.
