Donington WorldSBK: Razgatlioglu: ‘I want to be fighting again for the win’

Toprak Razgatlioglu’s impressive WorldSBK Misano display ⭕of two second places and a first in race two, has put him less than a win behind Jonathan Rea in the world championship heading into Donington Park this weekend.
Along with Rea, Razgatlioglu has been theꦅ most consistent rider thus far in 2021 - nine points finishes from nine, and no worse than sixth in a race.
While the Pata Yamaha rider is y🎀et 𓄧to win a race at Donington Park, Razgatligolu has three second place results from five races in the UK.
Yamaha’s last top-step success at Donington came in 2018 whe♎n Michael☂ Van Der Mark won both races.
Speaking ahead of this weekend, Razgatlioglu c💜alled the British circuit his favorite and one that should suit the R1 due to i𓃲t’s fast and flowing sections.
"Donington Park is a gre𝓀at track! Normally I like it a lot as it is reaꦑlly fast and flowing, I think it is my favourite track, but the last time we raced there was 2019," added Razgatlioglu.
"I am excited because thi♈s weekend will be the first time with the R1 WorldSBK at Doni﷽ngton.
"I remember in 2018ℱ that Michael [Van Der Mark] won both races with the Yamaha, so thꦺis year of course I want to be fighting again for the win.
"We will see, I’ll say it again, I am really excited! A lot can happen and we will see what is possible in the race weekend, but my plan is to fight at the front again and to en♔joy the races."
Razgatlioglu chose not to take part in last weekend’s Dutch MotoGP after being offere𝕴d the Petronas Yamaha ride as a stand-in for Franco Morbidellꦐi, as his focus remains on becoming 2021 WorldSBK champion.
