Chaz Davies will not require surgery after refracturing his right collarbone in a training accident at Aragon, his Ar﷽uba.it Racing Ducati has confirmed.

The factory Ducati rider su🐼ffered ꧅a near-identical injury at the start of World Superbike’s lengthy summer break which saw him miss the Italian manufacturer’s ‘Race of Champions’ at Misano.

After recovering over the summer break he took part in the recent in-season test in Portugal but has suffered a fresh setback while training at Aragon💯 sustaining a refracture witꩵh partial separation of his right collarbone.

Aruba.it Racing Ducati confi💞rmed Davies will not undergo surgery and stick to rehabilitation and strength training ahead of the Portimao round later this month (September 14-16).

Du𓆏cati confirmed the re-signing of Davies alongside Alvaro Bautista for the 2019 World Superbike championship, who will switch from MotoGP over the winter, to take up Marco Melandri’s ride.

Davies is currently second in the World Superbike riders’ standings but a significﷺant 92 points behind championship leader Jonathan Rea with four rounds – and a maximum ꧅of 200 points – remaining.
