Ducati bo🦋sses have officially unwrapped its new V4 Superbike engine ahead of the Misano MotoGP round which will be put into production for 2018 and homologated for racing in 201💜9.
After announcing its final version of the Panigale R at the Laguna Seca World Superbike round in July, anticipꦓation has grown around the launch of the replacement model with a strong focus around its new engine the Desmosedici V4 Stradale.
The road-going version will have a displacement of 1100cc from the V4 producing 210bhp featuring a counter-rotating crank with a twin-pulse firing order, while the racing version will be made with 1000cc🍃 in order to meet World Superbike regulations. The rev target for the racing version is set to be 14,000rmp using the desmodromic system, with the engine expected 𓆏to have a greater power output while being lighter than the previous V-twin.
"We are proud to reveal this technological jewel that starts a new chapter in our company's history, demonstrating its vitality and high level of investment in the development of new products,” Claudio Domencali said. “This 🍌engine also demonstrates the close collaboration between Ducati Corse and the group developing production motorcycles, and how much racing is able to develop technology that is then usable for the standard mode𒊎ls.”
The Desmosedici Stradale with the new Ducati Panigale V4, will be officially presented on the 5th November (9PM CET) at D🧸ucati’s world premiere at EICMA.
