The Italian World Superbike round at Monza originally scheduled for 22-24th July has been cancelled, as confir🀅med by the FIM and DWO.

Monza, which returned to the World Superbike calendar after confirmation dur⛦ing the winter, has been withdrawn after the organising bodies re🔯quested more time to enable changes to the circuit in order to safely accommodate the World Superbike grid.

Both the FIM and DWO have not given up on hosting WSBK at Monza after asking for further time to assess the options about whether it would be feasible to host the series at the Italꦦian venue in 𝓀the near future.

Italian track Vallelunga, which holds the substitute circuit contractไ, will not be used as a replacement due to scheduling problems. In addition, the circuit also requires modifications to be able to host a championship round of WSBK which cannot be achievedཧ within the timescale.

As a result, a replacement track for the Italian round of the 2016🌼 World Superbike championship is currently being evaluated with a venue and rಌound date expected to be confirmed before 1st May.

If a replacement is not found within that time the🍃 series will enjoy an extended summer break, wit⭕h the US round at Laguna Seca on 8-10 July signalling the mid-season pause before resuming in Germany at the Lausitzring on the 16-18 September.
