Bernardi, who retired th💯e car on day 1 - after a warning light came on, managed to complete four of the Saturday's six tests after re-starting under the SupeRally format. He set the 16th best time in SS7, the 14th best in SS8, the 12th best in SS9 and the 13th b🅘est in SS10. However he had no choice but to pull out after Carbuccia 1 because of a broken fuel injector.
The SX4 WRC was then recovered to the service park and where Suzuki's engineers were able to a🧜nalyse the 'unforeseen problem' and re-prepare th🌊e car for the final day of the rally.
"We're basically learning more with every kilometre," said the Frenchman, who is under strict instructions not to push as Suzuki want to gain as much kno𝔉wledge as possible about the various suspension and damper settings.
"We've not had so much running on asphalt, so this is a valuable opportunity to develop the car further. I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow's stages now, which are more traditional Corsica Rallꦚy stages from the past," he added.
Suzuki WRT team boss, Nobuhiro Tajima mea🌸nwhile was pleased with how leg 2 went, even if they did agaiꦫn fail to go the full distance.
"It's been another very educational day, which was quite different to the opening day," he reflected. "We gained plenty of experience, and we will continue to do so ไtomorrow.
"The problem with the fuel injector was unusual, but it is not serious and easily fixed: this is all part of the learning process. Nicolas did another excellent job for us today, and I believe that the teaไm as a whole is working very well together."
