"In Sydney it was quite surprising to realise how much knowledge of motorsport and in particular Bathurst's famous endurance race that all the Australianꦰ athletes possess," he said.
"I've been active in this role since 1999 and have been involved with numerous training camps and performance sessions for a wi🍌de range of sports and for me it's a two-fold situation. The athletes can de♉rive positives from my past experiences and are able to question me about different aspects relating to appropriate preparation and execution at the elite level.
"But I also come away from the experience a much more motivated individual. It'll be hard yakka over the next month but to go over to Athens and deal with people who are at the peak of their sport internatio༺nally is a r🐟are opportunity.
"When you've got a front row seat a🅰s ♑more than 7000 of the World's best athletes are aspiring for excellence you can't help but be inspired."
Despite his role in Greece, Brock - Bathurst's most successful drive🍸r - insists he will be ready for this years race, where🐲 he will partner British Touring Car ace Jason Plato in the #5 Holden Commodore.
"While I won't be driving in Athens I will be involved in a range of training sessions specific to each sport so that's sure to keep the fitness levels up," he said. "If anything, such cross training will probably have me fitter than usual as the body will have to adjus🐷t to the di🌜fferent demands.
"I arrive back in Austr𒐪alia the day before the Betta Electrical Sandown 500 and then leave with Todd Kelly to contest an eight-day safari event. There'll be no problems about spending enough time behind the wheel before the Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 and I'll be raring to go come start time."
