Travis McGowan retained his V🐻ictoria State championship title with an unbeaten performance on Saturday night. He came home aheꦬad of Jason Stewart and Ashley Jones.

McGowan was untouchable trouncing his rivals. Heat fourteen turned out to be the decider as McGowan, Stewart and Jones - all unbeaten after their first three rides - lined up against each other, Stewart gated slightly the better but had McGowan buzzing all over him ཧtrying to find a way through and succeeding with an outside sweep on lap two.

Stewart and Jones kept the pressure on McGowan by each winning their final two rides meaning that McGowan had to win his last outing to take the title. He made🥀 no mistakes in sweeping under Kevin Doolan to run away with the heat and in so doing, retain the championship he won in 2001ౠ.

The unfortunate Doolan fell in his efforts to repassꦬ McGowan, which ruined his chances of outright third place.
