Mark Buckley killed after crash at North West 200

Scottish rider Mark Buckley has died following an accident in the Superstock race at the Relentless International North West 200 in♋ Northern Ireland.

The 35-year-old from Loch Lomond fell on the opening lap o🦂f the race at the Mill Road section of the 8.9-mile circuit.

The race was stopped and later restarted.

Mr Buckley was competing for the British Superbi♕ke Splitlath Redmond Aprilia team at the international road race meeting and was due to ride for the team at the Isle of Man TT next month.

Mervyn Whyte, North West 200 event dire𝔍ctor, said he was 'devastated 'by the tragic news.

"We are devastated by the news that Mark Buckley has died in hospital following an incident during the Superst🐲ock race at today's International No♛rth West 200," said Whyte.

"Our thoughts and൩ prayers are with his wife Jayne and we extend our deepest sympathies to the entire f🃏amily circle.

"There were no other riders involved in thౠe incident."

Mr Buck𒐪ley was a regular competitor at the North Westဣ 200.
