BUSCH: Bowyer named to ACDelco Chevy.
Next🏅el Cup aspirant Clint Bowyer has been added to the list of drivers to have piloted the recognisable ACDelco Chevrolet in the supporting Busch Series, following a deal to join Richard Childress racing for 2005.
Bowyer, who has split driving duties in the #21 Reese's Chevrolet with Kevin Harvick at RCR this season, joins a veritable 'who's who' of NASCAR including Ken Sc🎶hrader, Joe Bessey, Steve Park, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Harvick, Johnny Sauter and Ron Hornaday in driv🧸ing the ACDelco car.

Bowyer, who has split d꧟riving duties in the #21 Reese's Chevrolet with Kevin Harvick at RCR this season, joins a veritable 'who's who' of NASCAR including Ken Schrader, Joe Bessey, Steve Park, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Harvick, Johnny Sauter and Ron Hornaday in driving the ACDelco car.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to drive the ACDelco Chevrolet for RCR," Bowyer admitted, "This is a dream come true for me - and my family. The ACDelco Chev✅rolet is a proven car that has won races and championships, and my job is to not only keep 𒁏it up front, but to take it to another level. RCR has committed to give this team everything it needs to win and I am very confident that we can do just that."
Bowyer's career has taken off since winning double track championships on both dirt and asphalt in his home state of Kansas. But many view his 🐎success in two ARCA Re-Max Series starts in 2003 as the performance that captured the attention of team owner Richard Childress.
"Clint's aggressive style is what first caught my eye," Childress confirmed, "He knows what it takes to win races and championships and I've really be⛦en impressed with his pe🧜rformance in the small number of races he competed in for RCR this year. Some very good drivers have taken their turns in the ACDelco Chevrolet over the years, but Clint has earned the opportunity to make his own history in it and continue that winning tradition."
Bowyer replaces NASCAR veteran Ron Hornaday, whose departure from RCR was based on a mutual decision⭕ between driver and team boss. Bowyer said his connection with Hornaday makes the move both exciting and bi🧔ttersweet.
"I have the most respect in the world for Ron," he explained, "He taught me a lot this ye🎃ar, and to get to drive the c🗹ar that he drove is very exciting - I just wish he was still going to be my team-mate."
