New role for Erwin at RCR.
Richard Childress Racing has named Greg Erwin as the new team engineer for the #31 ﷺCingular Wireless program for the rest of the season.
♈Erwin first joined the team in 2002 as a multi-team engineer and he says that he is looking forward to working with driver Robby Gordon.
"My responsibilit🐻ies will pretty much continue to be the same as they always have," he said, "except instead of spending one-third of my week working on the #31 team, I will be able to devote 100 percent to that team's efforts,"

Crew chief Chris Andrews believes that the decision to appoint 𝓡Erwin to the role is a positiv𝄹e step as the team continues to progress.
"Greg has already done a lot this year for the🃏 #31 team specifically, and all three RCR Cup teams, in general," he said. "He has done a lot with the seven-post rig and simulator this year helping all of us in the research and development of ಌour racing programs.
"Although Greg hasn't been at the track as much as the rest of us, he has still helped us out a lo🅷t more than others realise. I know he has spent many Friday nights and Saturday mornings doin🙈g research for us while we are on the road. Now, he'll be a little bit easier for me to get a hold of."
