Former Nationwide Serie driver found dead
Police are investigating the death of former NASCAR driver Kevin Grubb, after the 31-year-old's body was discovered in a mote🌸l room in Henrico County.
Personnel at the Alpine Motel found Grubb in his room at around 11am on Wedne🍒sday, with officials stating that there didn't appear to be anything unusual or suspicious at the scene.
Grubb, who made over 170 starts in the Nationwide Series betw⛎een 1997 and 2006, had been suspended by NASCAR on two occasions for substance abuse; the first suspension coming in 2004 when he failed a drugs test.

Having agreed to undergo random checks, Grubb was reinstated into the sport before be𒁃ing suspended ಌindefinitely in September 2006 when he refused to take part in a random test at Richmond.
Grubb made one unsuc𝔍cessful attempt to qualify for a Sprint Cup race in 2002, but failed to qualify the #54 Team Bristol Motorsports Chevrolet for the Pontiac Excitement 400 at Richmond.
