But it was bad news for two other local stars with team-mate Dovizioso and Yamaha's♌ Rossi failing to make the top ten and heading fo𝔉r Qualifying 1.

Rossi, riding with a new helmet design, ran wide at the final tuꦛrn on his beꦦst lap, ending his chances.

Dovizioso made no obvious mistake and was certainly quick enough on thꦯe straight, breaking his own all-time top speed record from Mugello last year by clocking 356.7km/h 221.6mph.

KTM's Esparga🌄ro wꦍas an excellent second, with the aid of a tow.

Rins fell on his out lap and is another champions🐬hip frontrunner heading for Q1. Zarco and Syahrin joined Rins in failing to beat their Friday best.
