Aragon MotoGP: Jack Miller fastest in FP2, Marquez eighth after crash

Jack Miller ended day one of the Aragon MotoGP fastest, while Marc Marquez suffered an early t♋urn 16 crash.
As was the case to end FP1, Marquez headed out on the same soft rear tyre which could be a preview for Sunday’s race. With the track temperature up considerably from this morning, plenty of hard tyres were being used on the front including 🦂Mar🐠quez.
But just🧸 as things looked 🍰to be running smoothly for the eight-time world champion, that all changed when he crashed at turn 16.
Marquez out-♏b🌃raked himself after misjudging the closing speed to brother Alex Marquez on the back straight.
Shortly after Marquez’ crash, Francesco Bagnaia also went down at turn five, however, the Ducati ri🍌der got away without any significant damage to his machine u🍨nlike Marquez.
While all this 🌌was happening, Takaaki Nakagami went fastest - P2 on combined times with 15 minutes🍸 gone.
Throughout the second runs it was the hard rear tyre that seemed t𓆏o be favoured as Joan Mir looked impressive. Marquez seemed to struggle with the harder tyre however.
Nakagami remained fastest until four minutes remaining as Aleix Espar𝔉garo then went quicker. However, Jack Miller the🍸n went quickest overall by over four tenths of a second.
The t🐭op two of Miller and 💃Espargaro remained unchanged, while an impressive final run from Cal Crutchlow saw him finish as the top Yamaha in P3.
A late flurry from the Ducati’s of Johann Zarco, Jorge Ma♔rtin and Bagnaia saw them split Crutchlow and Quarta﷽raro (seventh).
Marquez dro🌳pped down to eighth place overall and 18th in the sess🍷ion, while Nakagami and Enea Bastianini rounded out the combined top ten.
