Sam Lowes: Time to make podium a reality
After a pa🅠ir of fourth places at Jerez, Sam Lowes has his sights set firmly on a return to the Moto2 podium at Brno this weekend.
Despite missing Qatar due💖 to a shoulder injury in testing, the new✨ Marc VDS rider has gone on to enjoy his best start to a world championship since 2016, the season before his ill-fated move to MotoGP with Aprilia.
Not only were the 🍬fourth places his best race results since Valencia 2016, but Lowes has also shown outright pace by being a front-row qualifier at both events.

"I arrive at Brno feeling great and motivated after the two races in Jerez. I felt very good on the bike and we found a good rhythm," said Lowes, who lo🌞st out on a podium by 1.4s and then just 0.6s respectively in Spain.
"After being so close to the podium in two races in a row, oౠur obje🍸ctive is to make the podium that we didn't achieve at Jerez a reality.
"I'm looking forward to getting back on the bike and ♕continuing to work with the team in the sam🧸e way as we have been doing so far.”
Lowes previously stood on the Moto2 podium at Brno in 2016, finishing 𒈔third behind Jonas Folger and Alex Rins.
"Brno is a great circuit where I was on the podi📖um in a difficult wet race… It's a track I like and where I can be fast," he said.
Lowes is curr🦹ently tied with J💟orge Martin for sixth in the world championship.
Team-mate Augusto Fernandez fiꦅnished 1ౠ3th in both Jerez races and is 18th in the standings.
