Movement and crowd restrictions due to the coronavirus have caused disrup☂tion to the opening four round♔s of the 2020 MotoGP season.

But of those four events, only Qatar is currently 'cancelled' for the premier-class with Thailand, the USA and Argentina being 'postponed' to the 𓂃end of the season.

That would mean 19 of the scheduled 20 rounds would still go ahe💙ad.

But the situation in Europe (where the opening MotoGP race is currently scheduled for May 3 at Jeꦚrez in Spain) means more calendar updates are likely to be issued and, while the FIM is willing to race on into January, president Jorgeᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ Viegas acknowledged that some rounds could drop away.

"Imagine that several events have yet to be cancelled and that we have to resume racing much later, well, we will go as 𒊎far as it takes to keep championships worthy of the name," Viegas said."If it is necessary, we will go until January 2021. For us, it is not taboo.”

Contractually, between the FIM and Dorna, there should be෴ at least 13 Mot🐟oGP races, but few believe the FIM would not be willing to budge on that number under the exceptional circumstances. The FIM Endurance World Championship, for example, is held over just five rounds.
