'Investigations underway' after huge Jerez MotoE fire, test cancelled

Following the opening day of the first 2019 MotoE test, a major fire broke out in the Jerez paddock, 🦩which has forced the remainder of the test to be cancelꦐled.

An Energica spokesman earlier told ltxcn.top that the official cause is not yet known and that 'investigations are und♔erway'.

Images (see video below from LCR's Oscar𝓰 Haro Tasende) show huge flames engulfing the 'tent' that houses the MotoE machines.

'We are coor♌dinating with all the parties involved and a release wil💟l be communicated when possible,' the spokesman added.

That update, from MotoGP officials, confirmed the new MotoE paddock has be🐬en destroyed, including the series' equipment, after a fire started at 00:15 on March 14.

Nobody was injured in theℱ blaze, while an investigation is currently underway into 🥃the cause of the fire and potential changes to the calendar.
