Lorenzo, denied a potential first podium of the season by Sunday's dramatic thrღee-way collision with Dani Pedrosa and Dovizioso, has described this year's GP18 as better in some areas but weaker in others, relative to last year's GP17. The Spaniard has previously spoken of trying to 'combine' the best of both bikes.
By contrast, Dovizioso and Pramac's Danilo🥂 Petrucci feel the GP18 is a small step forward with no major drawbacks.
Lorenzo's issues have been compounded by mid-corner problems with the present Ducati wing fa𝕴iring and so the test of a modified design is no surprise.
Repsol Honda, Movistar Yamaha, Suzuki and Aprilia are also on track in Italy, ahead of next weekend's Frenc🌞h GP.
The Italian round will then be held on the weekend 🌠of June 1-3.

Peter has been in the paddock for 20 😼years and has seen Valentino Rossi come and go. He is at the forefront of the Suzuki exit story and Marc Marquez’s injury issues.
