Lorenzo was forced to jump off his Ducati at 110mph due to a brake problem a💝fter 12 laps which Brembo confirmed was an issue with its braking system.
🤡The brake manufacturer released a statement yesterday outlining that “the issue has been id🔜entified and resolved so that this anomaly can’t recur”, while Dovizioso hinted it could have🔜 been down to a braking material which he has opted not to use due to concerns to what happened to Lorenzo.
“As they [Brembo] explained it was an issue wi🎶th the brakes and it can happen to anybody and it is something very dangerous for our 🐻sport,” Dovizioso said. “I think they have everything under control.
“That material we used last year and we didn’t want to 💧continue. There was a big problem but we were n𒐪ot sure and we didn’t want to use it.
“Maybe Jorge felt better and he wanted to use it, I don’t know, it is something that need🌟ed to happen [Brembo’s fix] as it is dangerous in our sport if you don’t have brakes. But everything is on the limit and it is not so easy to manage everything in an easy way.”
Dovizioso is aiming to follow up his winning start to the 2018 MotoGP campaign with a strong result in Argentina having suffered a cruel exit 1♒2 months ago at the South American event when he was taken out by Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro.
The Italian rider’s best result in Argenti🐠na came in 2015 when he clinched second place behind Y❀amaha’s Valentino Rossi.
