Indianapolis Mot🌊or Speedway has confirmed that a 'new-look' circuit layout will be used for its MotoGP event.

The revisions mainly involve the opening-up of some corners and a🎀re highlighted in yellow.

Next August's race will be the seventh consecutive Mo🥂toGP round at Indianapolis and the final year of the present contract. However with California's Laguna Seca dropping off the calendar and the new Indianapolis circuit revisions, which will include a complete infield resurfacing, a further contract looks assured.

IMS officials worked with series organiser Dorna Sports and governing body FIM to create the 16-turn, 2.645-mile circuit featuring new turn configurations and braking zones, aimed at c🎃reating more passing opportunities.

The entire infiel🐓d section of the circuit will also be resurfaced to create a mꦫore uniform, smooth racing surface. This was needed to address criticism from riders of the varying grip levels caused by the different types of asphalt previously in place.
