Dutch MotoGP: Assen extends MotoGP contract to 2021

Assen, already confirmed on the MꦜotoGP calendar until 2017, has had its contract extended until at least 2021.
The new deal was announced on Thursday of this year's Dutch TT, which is the only venue that has been on the motorcycle grand prix calendar since t🌠he inaugural 1949 season.
"There's a reason why Asওsen is the longest serving track on the calendar," said Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta. "It's fast nature and excellent layout make it ideal not only for MotoGP bikes and their support classes, but also for the vast number of spectators that turn out every year.
"The contract was already signed until 2017, yet we felt the time was right to really cement it on the calendar and keep the pinnacl🙈e of motorcycle racing at the Cathedral for many years to come."
"The 🤪unique status of the Dutch TT (since 1925) is confirmed by the extension of the contract," added Arjan Boss, President of the TT Assen circit. "This new contract gives us the opportunity for a long term investment".
