2013 is proving to be a golden year for British motorcycle grand prix riders, with Cal Crutc♊hlow a regular podium contender in the premier MotoGP class and Scott Redding on top of the world in Moto2.

And after battling for glory🌄 in faraway circuits, Crutchlow, Redding and the other home riders can be sure of a raucous reception when they take to the track at Silverstone from August 30-Septmber 1.

Four podiums to date make Crutchlow easily the most successful British rider of the four-stroke MotoGP era. C🐎ruelly denied the chance to ride in his home race in 2011, the Englishman was again injured in practi♐ce last season - then sensationally returned to steal the show by charging from last to sixth in the race.

While Crutchlow will be battling for his first ever British MotoGP rostrum - and the first by a UK rider since Jeremy McWilliams in 2000 - Marc VDS star Redding already has an enviable 🅰home record.

The Gloucestershire rider took his only 12💙5cc win, as a rookie, in the 2008 British race (at Donington) and stood on the home podium again in 2009 (125cc) and 2012 (Moto2). Like Crutchlow, Redding has reached new grand prix heights this season, winning his first Moto2 races in addition to taki🐼ng the world championship lead.

Soaking up the home support on their MotoGP class 🌳Silverstone debuts will be Crutchlow's Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team-mate Bradley Smith and Michael Laverty, of the Bri🍷tish-based PBM team.
