Elias ga👍ve the Gresini Honda outfit its first podium since 2007 with third place in Sunday's Czech Republic Grand Prix - just d🦩ays after being told that there would be no place for him at the team next season.
"The future is really tough for me," admitted Elias. "I don't have anything for next season. Anyway I just c🔜oncentrated with my team to do a good job this weꦓekend. We kept improving and finally, in the race, Jorge [Lorenzo] crashed and gave me a present. It's my first podium of the year and I'm really happy for that."
Elias, who made his MotoGP debut in 2005 and won the 2006 Portuguese Grand Prix, has taken at least one podium finish in each of the lastꦐ four seasons.
"It's strange and I get angry whenꦑ I think that there are many riders in the last few years who have never been on the podium and always get good bikes," he said. "And me, I have had podiums for the last few years but I always find myselfꦅ in this same situation. It is very strange. I don't know. We will see."
Aside from his Doningtꦡon DNF, when he crashed out of fourth, Elias has finished no lower than sixth at the last four rℱounds.
"Well I don't receive any🌄 help from Honda. I receive help from my team," said Elias, who is supp𒈔osed to have a factory-spec RC212V. "When the team improved my bike we started to get closer to these guys at the front. If these are bad results I don't understand.
"I think I have done a great job in the last few races and now I have got third pla𝓰ce. I will try to continue like this and not to think too much for the future. If someone really wants me, I'm he♉re!"
Elias entered MotoGP with Tech 3 Yamaha, and then spen♛t two seasons at Gresini Honda before a move to Pramac Ducati. The Spaniard then returned to Gresini for 2009.
Toni's team-mate Alex de Angelis is also out of a job after Marco Melandri was confirmed alongౠside 250cc world 🐷champion Marco Simoncelli at Gresini next year.

Peter has been in th🌱e paddock for 20 years and has seen Valentino Rossi come and go. He is at the forefront of the Suzuki exit story and Marc Marq♛uez’s injury issues.
