The first of the Red Bull KTM Ajo rideಞr's victories waꦦs especially remarkable, having started from the pit lane in Qatar, while his second came courtesy of a patient last-lap pass on Dennis Foggia in Portimao.
Among those to praise the young Spaniard's performanꦬces was nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi, who keeps a close eye on the junior class while following t🌌he likes of VR46 Academy members Andrea Migno and Nicolo Antonelli.
"[Portimao] was im🍒pressive, because [Acosta] did another fantastic race, his approach and his impact on Moto3 is unbelievable because he is first position in the championship and has already won two races, second-first-first," said Valentino Rossi.
"So it's incredible. He made a perfect race today, also in the battle. So I think he has a great talent, he's very strong. And I'm very happy for Migno who is coming back on the podium af🌺ter a long time, after a solid weekend."
Turning to the premier-class, Rossi added that title leader Fabio Quartararo is looking "very stro♎ng" after two "great" back-to-back wins, but that Marc Marquez's Portimao comeback showed he is alreadꦇy "at the top level" and will be one for the title favourites to watch.
