Moto3: Shoulder surgery for Alex Marquez
Alex Marqueﷺz, younger brother of MotoG▨P champion Marc Marquez, has undergone shoulder surgery.
The Estrella Galicia 0,0 rider, who claimed one victory and fourth in the world championship du🌠ring his rookie Moto3 season, had been suffering from a 'recurring dislocation' of the joint.
During the operation at the Hospital Universitario Quiron Dexeus in Barcelona, doctors "stabilised the shoulder by introducing a bone block and reconstruct🍬ing the anterior shoulder ligaments."
Marquez, who team is switching from KTM to Honda machinery for 2014, wಌ🍌ill require three weeks of rest.
The decision to undergo sur൲gery was made after Marquez noted problems in recent months. He had dislocated his shoulder at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Marquez will again ride alongside 201💝3 title contender Alex Rins.
