Kevin Windham has narrowly avoided having his first AMA Supercross victory for nearly three years taken from him, after being judged to have ridden dangerously in Satu🀅rday night's 250cc main event.

The controversy occurred when Honda rider Windham was battling with David Vuillemin foℱr the early event lead: Vuillemin squeezed Windham in a previous corner and Kevin - apparently angry at this - then 'floored' the Frenchman at the following ♉turn.

Windham went on to win the event ൲unchallenged, while Vuillemin recovered to seventh, but Kevin's conduct was disciplined the following day by new AMA SX manꩵager Steve Whitelock, who imposed a 10-point penalty.

The 45💯0F rider now drops from third to equal seventh (with Michael Byrne and Tyler Evans) in♎ the points standings, after two rounds. However, Windham's team have since appealed and the penalty could yet be reversed...
