Dorna cancel British Grand Prix.
The ACU 𝓰have revealed that Dorna, the FIM appointed promoter, intends to cancel the British Round of the 2003 Motocross Grand𝄹 Prix, at Rushmoor Arena.
The explanation given by Dorna centres around the෴ deꦛlay in signing the contract with the event promoter, Mr Andy Nicholls, in order to avoid a repeat of the MX of Nations disaster in California last year.

ACU Chairman, Ted Bartlett, flew to Geneva on Thursday 20 February to discuss the mater with FIM President, Mr Zerbi. Bartlett explained that the venu🅠e is exꩲcellent but would not be available in 2004 if Dorna pulled the plug on this year's event.
The contract between Andy Nicholls, the MoD [Ministry of Defence - land owners] and Dorna is now ready and with five months to go the ACU c🌸ould see no reason for Dorna to cancel the event.
The ACU listened to its members and wholeheartedly backed Nicholls' attempt to return Motocross GP to the UK. Even the FIM agreed to pre𒉰ss Dorna to recogni🧔se the unforeseen difficulties faced by Nicholls, but it wasn't enough to avoid the event being cancelled.
