McLaren exec🍸utive director Zak Brown has dismissed the suggestion that Fernando Alonso could miss the Formula 1 race in Singapore in order to take part in IndyCar’s season finale at Sonoma, calling it “fake news”.

Two-time F1 world champion Alonso missed the Monaco Grand Prix to make his de🌊but at the Indianapolis 500 back in May as part of a joint entry between McLaren, Honda and Andretti Autosport, qualifying fifth and leading part of the race before ultimately retiring with an engine failure.

Alonso’s eviden🐻t enjoyment of the IndyCar event led to suggestions that he could be se🦩t to make a second appearance at the final race of the year at Sonoma, which clashes with the Singapore Grand Prix.

However, ꦅBrown was quick to dismiss the suggestion, confirming that Alonso would be racing in Singapore as👍 planned.
