Pascal Wehrlein confirms exit from Mahindra Formula E team

Pascal Wehrlein has co🔯nfirmed he has parted ways with the Mahindra Forܫmula E team, ahead of an expected switch to Porsche.

Wehrlein is set to race for the Porsche Formula E team from next season having cut ties with Mahindra wiꦛth immediate effect, mid-way through the 2019-20 𒀰season.

It is understood the German will not race fꦇor the Mahindra squad during the remainder of the campaign, which is currently suspended due to the coronaviru🐲s pandemic.

Pascal 💯Weh🔜rlein has confirmed he has parted ways with the Mahindra Formula E team, ahead of an expected switch to Porsche.

Wehrlein is set to race for the Porsche Formula E team from next season having cut ties with Mahindra with immediate eff💮ect, mid-way through the 2019-20 season.

It is understood the German will not race for the Mahindra squad during the remainde💃r of the campaign, which is currently suspended due to the coronavirus pande✱mic.

Weh൩rlein, who raced in F1 with Manor and Sauber between 2016 and 2017, joined Mahindra ahead of the 2018-19 season and agreed a three-year deal which was originally set to run until the endಌ of 2020-21.

But on Monday afternoon, Wehrlein c𝔉onfirmed his Mahindra exit in an Instagram post which read: “From today onwards I will no longer be part of Mahindra Racing

“My interest was to finish the season but the curr🦋ent situation didn’t allow so.

“I can’t say much abo♏ut my futuඣre but will keep you informed.”

Mahindra is yet to comment on the matter, though an official announcement - including details on Wehrlein’s replacement to partner Jerome d'Am🌟brosio - is expected i🍒mminently.

The 25-year-old finished 1🅠2th in the standings during his maiden Formula E campaign with M🍷ahindra in 2018-19, recording a best result of second place in Chile.

Wehrlein sits 14th after🌌 the opening five 🥂rounds of the current Formula E season having scored points on just two occasions so far.

The F🌌ormula E season is expected to resume in August once it is safe to do so following the coronavirus crisis.
