Having spent the past five seasons competing for Ferrari in the World Endurance Championship in the GTE Pro clas꧃s, the 30-year-old is expected to dovetail his commitments with Formula E.

“This was one of the most sought-after seats in Formula E and I’m extremely proud to have been offered it,” Calado, who has a wealth of single-seater experience from his GP3, GP2, British Formula 3 and Forಞmula 1 test driver days, said.

“Jaguar’s motorsport history is iconic and to be a part of this team in Formula E is a great opportunity for me. Although electric racingꦆ is new to me, I’m confident in my own single-seater experience to secure some great results for the team. Expectations are high and I can’t wait for the first race in Diriyah in November.”

Alongside its new driver line-up, J𓆉aguar also confirmed its new I-Type 4 powertrain which has been developed iꦿn-house.

“There has been a huge amount of hard work and determinꩲation from the development team to create the most competitive race car we’ve ever had,” James Barcl💎ay, Team Principal, said.

“This is a team effort and when we’re all pulli꧟ng in the right direction, great things can happen. We’ve learnt how to win and we are hungry for more. Bring on season six!”
