Formula E CEO Alejandro𝔉 Agag says the electric single-seater series needs to return t🐠o the UK in the near future, labelling Birmingham as the "firm favourite" to host a race.

Formula E staged the final races of both Season 1 and Season 2 at Batterseaꩲ Park in London, only for pressure from locals to force the event to be scrapped after 2016.

The championship has been chasing a possible return to the UK for some time, with Agag confirming earlier this week at the Geneva Motor Show that Birmingham was the most likely city to host a revived British 🌠round.

"We need to ꧂grow the following a lot more in the UK. It takes time and we have to be patient," .

"We have got to have a race there. London is tricky. We don't have any kind of opening there s꧋o there is no chance of that happening at the moment.

"We are open to other cities and we are 𒅌talking to Birmingham about doing something. Birmingham is firm fa🐽vourite."

Formula E will confirm its Season 5 calendar in June, with new cities such as Doha, Cairo and Beirut being linked with a possible slot on the r♔oster through the 2018/19 campaign.
