After seeing di Grassi set the pace with a full po📖wer lap in FP1, Abt responded with the fastest lap of the weekend so far in a foggy seco﷽nd practice that saw conditions cool and visibility levels reduce.
Abt shot to the top of the timesheets late on with a qualifying simulation 20🐎0kW lap, turning in a time of 1:19.760 to finish one-tenth of a second clear of di Grassi in second place.
Renault's Sebastien Buemi took third place, finishing just four-hundredths of a second back from di Grassi, with the lead tr🎃io being the only drive♏rs to dip below the 1:20s mark.
Mitch Evans led Jaguar's charge once again in fourth place ahea🍨d of teammate Nelson Piquet Jr., while Alex Lynn ended the session sixth for🗹 DS Virgin Racing.
Jose Maria Lopez impressed on his return to the series with Dragon Racing, finishing seventh ahead of Felix Rosenqvist. The Techeetah duo of Jean-Eric Vergne and Andre Lotterer completed the top 10 positions, with the leading 15 drivers in FP2 being covered by less than⛦ one second.
