Abt🌄 snatched his first win in Formula E after a late spin for Edoardo Mortara, only for both his cars to be reviewed by the stewards after the race and be deemed outside of the technical regulations.

"The FIA security stickers ꦡ(barcodes) on the inverter and MGU units did not correspond with those declared on the Technical Passport provided by the competitor Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler fಌor the event," reads a statement from the FIA stewards.

As a result, Abt was disqualified from the race, making💦 Felix Rosenqvist the new rac𝓡e winner for Mahindra.

Mortara moves up to second, while Jaguar claims its🐬 first Formula E podium through Mitch Evans in third place.

Audi confirmed in the hours following the race it intends to appeal tജhe decision.

"It has been a bittersweet end to the day because afterwards in the technical inspection, FIA, the organising and ruling body, they found there was a disꦫcrepancy in the numbers on a couple of parts of the car," Audi Formula E chief Allan McNish said.

"So now we have taken the view and taken th💃e intent to appeal the process. That is the situation as we speak and finish up here in Hong Kong."

Audi will decide iℱn the next two-to-three days whether or not it will go through with its intention to appeal.
