♔Villagomez sp🧔ent his rookie season with HWA RaceLab but failed to score a single point.

The Mexican moves to new entrant Van A🅺mersfoort for his second seaso🗹n.

The Dutch out🦹fit is racing in F2 and F3 after taking over HWA’s entry at the end of last year.

Villago🔜mez is familiar with the team having raced for VAR in ꦦEuroFormula Open in 2021, finishing eighth in the final standings.

“Last year was certainly a learning year for me, which I knew it would be,” he said. “The move up from Formula 4 to FIA F3 was a big step, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Now I feel r🔜eady to compete at a higher level and aim for points and podium finishes.

“Having raceꦕd with them in Euroformula Open last year, I know Van Amersfoort Racing very well. It gives me great confidence to have them at my side, especially sinc✅e I know how dedicated they are towards this programme.”

Van Amersfoort CEO Rob ⛎Niessink added: “ꦜIt is always great to be able to progress with a driver into a second year.

“Both driver and crew h🅠ave grown close together during the season and despite Rafael moving up to another category within VAR, we know him꧙ well and he knows our way of working through and through. Rafael faced a steep learning curve last year, something that was anticipated.
