Oscar Piastri has won the Formula 2 feature race in Jeddah after it was red-flagged twice, before a result was declared after just five laps.

Half points will be awarded due to the result being t✨aken after just five laps of racing meaning Piastri will add 13.5 points to his tally going into Abu Dhabi next weekend.

The race w🀅as initially reduced to just 20 minutes pl🦂us one lap after a nasty incident on the opening lap between Theo Pourchaire and Enzo Fittipaldi.

The incident occurred on Lap 1 when Pourchaire stalled his ART 💮car from th🧜ird on the grid.

Unsighted, Fittipaldi drove straight into the back ofও Pourchaire, ꦦforcing the FIA to instantly red flag the race.

The 🌳FIA con💫firmed shortly after the race both drivers were taken to hospital.

After only six laps of racing, the race was red-flagged for a second time after Olli Caldwell lost co👍ntrol of his car at Turn 22, collecting Guilherme Samaia in the proces♑s.

Piastri was alre♏ady in t💜he pits when the race when the Safety Car was initially deployed, giving Prema teammate Robert Shwartzman the race lead.

As per FIA rules, the race result is taken from the last complet♈ed﷽ race lap.

This means Piastri takes the win ahead of Shwartzma꧂n and Campos’ Ralph 🤡Boschung.

Going to Abu Dhabi, Piastri will have a 51.5 point lead over his teammat𝔉e. 

2022 Alfa Romeo F1 driver Guany♒u Zhou classified fourth ahead of Felipe Drugovich, Juri Vips, Christian Lundgaard, Marcu𓆏s Armstrong, Liam Lawson and Dan Ticktum.
