2020 F2 season will end in Bahrain as Abu Dhabi axed

Formula 2 has confi꧅rmed that the 2020 championship will finish with a double-header in Bahrain.
It follows F1’s announcement of its completed, 17-round revised calendar which features a return to Turkey 🥀and double-header in Bahrain, before concluding in Abu Dhabi on December 13.
But unlike F1, its direct support category F2 will not visit Abu Dhabi for its traditional end-of-season finale, with the final roun𝓰ds instead taking place at the Bahrain International Circuit.
Following the series’ maiden trip to Mugello and the Sochi rounꦐd, the Bahrain races will t🦋ake place on 27-29 November and 4-6 December to form a 12-round F2 championship campaign.
F2 will not support F1𝄹 at the revised Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul on November 15.
“We are ⛎very pleased to concl🎉ude our 2020 season in Bahrain with two back-to-back race weekends,” said F2 CEO Bruno Michel.
“We had originally planned to end the year inౠ Abu Dhabi, which will ultimately not happen, but 🅘I am looking forward to going back to the Yas Marina Circuit in the near future.
“I’m very satisfied to see that in these trying times, we have still managed to keep ouಞr calendar to 12 rounds in total. It’s a great achievement.
“I would like to thank both F1 and the FIA for their tremendous help to make this happen and allow us to keep on racing in such difficult☂ conditions through a particularly efficient protocol.
“I must say that it has been a global effort by everyone involved, from the organisatio💯n to the teams and the 🃏drivers. I am now looking forward to a safe and exciting end to the season.”
F2’s post-season tests are scheduled to take place in Bahrain following the seas๊on finale, with final dates set to be announced in due course.
