Bottas to make Race of Champions debut in 2022 Sweden event

After a brief hiatus due to coronav﷽irus, theꦓ Race of Champions is back for 2022.
The Race of Champions ꧙was last hosted iꦦn Mexico City in January 2019 but will return next year.
The 2022 edition of the event will take place on February 5-6, on an ice course bui♋lt on the frozen Baltic Sea in Sweden.
Bottas will be no stranger to thesꦬe conditions, competing in the Arctic Lapland 𓄧Rally three times, recording a stage win and finishing as high as fifth overall.
The Finn becomes the first F1 driver to announce their participation, joining other motorsport stars such as Sඣebastien Loeb, Johan Kristoffersson and Tom Kristensen.
Speaking of the announcement, Bottas ꦏ🦂said: “I’m really looking forward to finally be able to compete in the Race Of Champions after watching the event on TV for many years.”
“The fact that this y🌠ear’s event will be held on snow and🌠 ice makes it even more interesting.
“I’ve competed in the Arctic Rally a few times so hopefully that experience will help as we aim to beat the strong competition and especially our Nordic neighbours from Sweden and Norway to add to Finland’s many wins both in the individual ROC and the ROC Nat🎀ions Cup.”
Bottas currently sits third in the F1 drivers’ championship as he bows out of Mercedes at the end of the year 📖for Alfa Romeo.
