Ferrari’s new F1 simulator gets the green light ahead of 2022

The 🌞fitting of the new simulator was completed this week in a new building that sits bet🌺ween the main office of the Gestione Sportiva at Maranello and the Fiorano track.
Ferrari has revealed that calibration work will be ✱carried out ahead of its use in September as the Italian marquee begins simulator work for its 202🅺2 challenger.
Its current simulator will still be used for development work on Ferrari’s SF21 - the 2021 car, ๊in preparation for race weekends, as well as suppo🐼rting members of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
Ferrari’s new simul🤪ator took two years to build and has been described as “generational”.
It is a result of a col𒊎laboration between the team and Dynisma - a UK-based company headed up by former Ferrari dynamics engineer, Ashley Warne.
“Simulation and digital technology are going to play an ever more important role in the development of a Formula 1 car and we believe we have made the besꦉt possible choice, focusing on creating a tool that will enable us to make a generational leap in this sector,” Ferrari’s head of supply chain Gianmaria Fulgenzi said.
“To produce it, we chose Dynisma, a young and dynamic company. It has taken two years to complete this projecꦕt and now we are ready to start using it on the 674 project, which is the name given to the car that will be produced based on the new technical regulations that come into force in 2022.”
Ferrari sits fourth in the con📖🉐structors’ championship after nine rounds in 2021.
