Williams F1 Team h🔜as announced it will attempt to cꦅomplete 100 F1 pit stops across the Portuguese Grand Prix weekend in honour of Captain Tom Moore’s 100 challenge.

In April 2020, Moore famously completed 100 laps of his garden in a bid 💜to raise £10✤00 for NHS Charities Together.

Moore’s efforts captured the nation’s attention and he raised £38.9 million in totalꦛ.

He was kn𝔍ighted for 👍his efforts but sadly passed away aged 100 in February.

In his honour, Williams will attempt 100 pit stops across the weekendꦬ at Portimao to mark what would have been his 101s▨t birthday on April 30.

The Grove-based outfit will be taking part in this challenge so it can ra൲ise awareness for its official charity - Spinal Injuries Association (SIA)🔯.

SIA is a charity that supports people living with spinal co💦rd injury in the United Kingdom.

Speaking of the announcement, CEO Jost Capito said: “Captain Sir Tom Moore inspired millions around the world, with his simple message of hope, “Tomorrow will be a good day” and brought comfo𓃲rt and joy to so m🌠any around the world during the pandemic. 

“It has been a challenging time for everyone and still is, and we want to take this oppo🐻rtunity to do something in his memory, whilst also raising money for a very worthy cause. 

“As a team, we take great pride in our pitstops, so🌸 this is a great challenge for the team both trackside and at the factory to come together to accomplish, ﷽and we’re looking forward to it.”
