F1 teams up with Global Citizen charity for WeRaceAsOne initiative

Formula 1 will team up with international advocacy organisation Global Citizen as part o💙f the sport’s new plans for the WeRaceAsOne initiative.
F1 launched the WeRaceAsOne scheme in June last year ahead of the revised 2020 campaign, setting out two main objective💞s to recognise the COVID-19 pandemic and raise awareness of inequality.
For 2021, the initiative remains, but it will now focus on three main pillars: su🍃stainability, diversity and inclusion, and community.
As part of its new goals, F1 hopes to become carbon neutral by 2030, while it focuses on becoming more diverse with a greater focus 🅰on STEM subjects in schools.
Global Citizen is an orgaꩲnisation aiming to end extreme w꧒orld poverty by the end of 2030, with a commitment to the environment, equal opportunity, education and citizenship.
F1 said it and Global Citizen “intend to annou🌳nce a series of actions that fans and communities can take part in, to ensure real impact and provide a sust💞ainable legacy, ensuring the future of the sport and the world we race in.”
Speaking of the announcement, F1 CEO Stefano Domen🧔icali said: “We are very excited at the prospect of partnering with the incredible team at Global Citizen, whose passion and delivery of lasting positive change are perfectly aligned with our focus at Formula 1 to leave a positive impact on socieཧty, the environment and our sport.
“We’re proud of the WeRaceAsOne platform❀ in encouraging the community, F1 fanbase, and Global Citizen’s millio🐎ns of engaged supporters to come together to support positive change against the most important issues facing our sport, and the world.
“While our commitment to tackling issues of sustainability and diversity in our sport is important, it is 📖our actions that we’ll be♒ judged on, and this long-term partnership will show our commitment to deliver on our plans.”
We're extremely proud to team up with Global Citizen on our pledges
