FEATURE: Could COVID-19 force F1 into a 2020-2021 super season?
Rather than trying to cram in 17-18 races between August and Christmas, F1 could merge its two campaigns together to create a super season ♒- much 🔴like Formula E adopts.
This doo💫r has been potentially opened after F1 teams agreed to delay the 2021 technical regulation overhaul by a year until 2022, meaning the chassis used this year will be carried over into the next campaign.
Not only could this potꦺentially alleviate some of the financial impact on teams but it would undoubtedly remove strain that naturally comes with the demanding worklo🏅ads for the travelling F1 personnel.
Discussions will continue between F1 chiefs and the teams in the coming days and weeks on how 𒈔best to combat the issue of coronavirus and save the 2020 season.
Could this be a solution to the problem?
