Charles Leclerc says Ferrari was “a little bit upset” with his secret skydive during the Formula 1 winter break after he failed 🅘to ask permission beforehand.

Leclerc, who was rewarded with a freꦗsh four-year Ferrari contract at the end of an impressive first year at Maranello in which he out-scored four-time world champion teammate Sebastian Vettel, went skydiving at the end of the season but did not ask the team for permission.

Speaking at the Autosport International show in Birmingham, Leclerc revealed he opted against telling Ferrari as he “would not be here to be told off” had it gone🌳 wrong.

“You n🥃ormally sure do [have to ask for permission],” Leclerc said🔯.

“I didn’t for skydiv♌ing because I just told myself that in case it would go wrong I would not be here to be told off, so I just went for it.

“They were a little 🐓bit upset but in thꦕe end I won’t do it a second time. It was amazing but it was just to do it once.

“I love skiing,” he added. “It’s not the safest thing to do and as drivers we are limited to what we can do but they allow me to ski, so that is probably the best thing tꦏo do.”
