Williams retains Jamie Chadwick in F1 development role
Jamie Chadwick will continue her role as a developꦓment driver for t𝓰he Williams Formula 1 team during the 2020 season.
The 21-year-old, who was crowned the inaugural champion of the all-female W S꧑eries championshi🧔p, has been retained in the position for a second campaign, having joined Williams in May last year.
In the role, Williams says Chadwick will increase her simulator programme duties and be “fullꦰy immersed” within the team both trackside and at its Grove headquarters, while she will attend several grands prix throughout 2020.

Deputy team principal Claire Williams added: “I am delighted to confirm that Jamie Ch𝔍adwick will continue her work in the Williams Racing Driver Academy this year.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed watching🌺 Jamie develop, and excel, both with the team and h𒉰er time racing in W Series.
“Jamie has done an excellent job promoting women in motorsport and we are extremely proud of t🍎he work she ♐has done.”
Chadwick is set to combine her ๊role at Williams alongside attempting to defe🎉nd her W Series title, having confirmed she will contest the championship again this year.
The Briton won two races on her way to winning the first-ever W Series title on offer in 2019, beating Beitske Visser to the crown by💃 10 points.
Chadwick previously won the 2015 British GT GT4 title, became a🐽 British Formula 3 race winner in 2018, and won the MRF Winter Series in ꦦ2018/19.
