Sebastian Vettel has received two penalty🃏 points on his FIA Super License in addition to his time penalty for unsafely rejoining the track during Sunday'♑s Canadian Grand Prix.

Vettel controversially lost the race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve after being handed a five-second time penalty for almost running Mercedes꧅ rival Lewis Hamilton into the wall at the Turn 4/5 chicane following a mistake.

Vettel lost the rear of his car and ran across the grass before rejoining the track, with Hamilton attempting to pass around the outside at 💦exit, only to be forced to back off as the Ferrari driver came across the line.

Vettel vented his fury at the stewards over team radio for the incident, sayin🙈g they were "stealing" the race from Ferrari.

In addition to the time penalty, the stewards co🦹nfirmed after the race that Vettel had received two penalty points on his FIA Super License, taking him up to seven for a 12-month period.

"The stewards reviewed video evidence and determined that Car 5 [Vettel], left the track at Turn 3, rejoined the track at Turn 4 in an unsafe man𝓀ner and forced Car 44 [Hamilton] off track. Car 44 had to take evasive action to avoid a collision."
