Williams confirms chassis change for George Russell after FP1 incident
Williams has con⛎firmed it has been forced to change the chassis on George Russell's FW42 car following his collision with a lo🍬ose drain cover in opening practice for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Friday.
Russel♓l struck the loose drain cover less than 15 minutes into FP1 at the Baku City Circuit, causing damage to the underside of his Williams FW42 car and leaving debris strewn across the track. The session was red flagged before being abandoned altogether.

Williams said it would review Russell's car once it had returned t💦o the garage, but shortly confirmed after receiving it that a chassis change was required.
"George's car will require a chassis change due to the damage caused by the loose d🍸rain cover," a Williams spokeswoman said.
"Therefore due to the regulations, he will not be♓ able to run until FP3 tomorrow."
Russell's car must be re-scrutineered by the race stewards in Baku due to the change in suꩵrvival cell, which wiℱll take place ahead of FP3 on Saturday.
