The FIA has confirmed it is clamping down on the abuse of trac💧k limits for this weekend's Mexican Grand Prix, issuing new guidelines to the Formula 1 field ahead of Free Pra🐻ctice 3 on Saturday morning.

The ste𝔉wards in Mexico have responded to drivers running wide at the exit of Turn 11 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez by introducing a new measure at the corner, threatening to delete times in qualifying for those who are track extending too much.

In a similar approach to that used at Turn 19 in Austin at the United States Grand Prix last weekend, drivers will have their times deleted if no part of their car remains in contಞact with the red and white kerbs at the exit of the corner, which leads onto a short straight down to Turn 12.

"If a driver crosses the kerb on the exit of Turn 11 during qualifying and, as a result, no part of the car remains in contact with the red and whit✱e section of the kerb, the lap time o🐲f the driver concerned will be deleted by the stewards," an updated note from FIA race director Charlie Whiting reads.

"During the race a black and white flag will be shown to any driver who clears the redও and white section of the kerb three times, any further occurrence will then be reported to the stewards.

"Each time any car clears the red and 𒈔white section teams will be informed via the official messaging system.🦩"

The FIA confirmed e♓arlier in the week that drivers passing completely behind the kerb on the apex of Turn 11 will be required to rejoin the track after keeping to the right of a designated marker.
