David Coulthard offered to share his Bahrain bonus money with Jacques Villeneuve after their ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚcollision deprive🧔d the Canadian of a point.

Both men are on deals that pay cash for every point scored, and Jacques was f💦urious to lose not just the much-needed moral boost of eighth place, but also the money that w🌞ent with it.

When Coulthard went to apologise after the race Villeneuve raised the point, so David offered to sp🎐lit his winniꦦngs. However, Jacques refused to take him up on the offer. The pair had plenty of time to talk over the incident as they flew home together.

"The race was fun," the Canadian told ltxcn.top. "And suddenly I thought, great we're going to finish eighth. Sadly David thought the same thing and decided to go for it w꧋ith a slightly optimistic move which had me off. Tജhat's life.

"We never thou🍬ght we would be in the points, andও suddenly we could be in the points, and eighth was there. I just needed one more lap. But I've had people off, it happens, it's part of racing. Of course I'm angry now, but that's normal after a race. But we desperately needed that eighth place."

Villeneuve says he is feeling happier with the Sauber, and h🌞opes f🔯or better things in Imola.

"I could drive it hard all the way, I felt a lot more comfortable in the car. Now I've got🧜 two days in Barcelona, and it should make a big difference. We have a lot of aero and tyres to test. Hop𝓰efully we'll have time to do the stuff I need to do for the set-up."
